Tonight the James Logan high School Wind Symphony will present a free musical showcase at the Center for Performing Arts featuring the most advanced musicians in the band program and performing the finest wind literature.
They also have the rare opportunity to play tonight with the San Diego State University Band & Orchestra.
This concert is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:00 PM and performances are from 7:00 -9:30 PM.
The James Logan instrumental music program has developed into one of the largest and finest in the state. Besides on-campus performances, the Wind Symphony also periodically performs outside the campus. They have made appearances at the Edinburgh Easter Festival in Scotland, Carnegie Hall in New York City, and the Dvorak Hall in Prague.
